Close of the formal scoping period for the Alaska Pipeline Project environmental impact statement
The formal scoping period for the Alaska gas pipeline project currently runs through Feb. 27, 2012, with seven scoping meetings held in communities along the 803-mile pipeline route in January and February of 2012. The start of the formal scoping period was announced Aug. 1, 2011, in FERC's Notice of Intent listed in the Federal Register.
Although the deadline for comments under the scoping process ends Feb. 27, 2012, agencies will accept public input throughout the entire NEPA process. For ways in which the public can be involved in the project, please see our "Get involved" page.
