Bill White

Bill White serves as researcher/writer. He joined the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects [OFC] in March 2011.  His focus is researching and writing about a wide range of topics related to the natural gas industry and the North Slope natural gas pipeline in particular, with a goal of helping the public and policy makers better understand the dynamics and issues involved.

Before joining the OFC, he worked as a local news editor at the Anchorage Daily News, with emphasis on government and business reporting, including coverage of the oil and gas industry. Articles he has been responsible for have received a variety of national awards, including a Pulitzer Prize for Meritorious Public Service and a Thomas L. Stokes Award for best energy writing. Besides Alaska newspapers, White has worked for publications in Louisiana, Minnesota and Washington, D.C.

He has a bachelor's in journalism and mass communication from the University of Minnesota and a master's in business administration, with an emphasis in management and finance, from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
